Download and install the mhvSwitch.app in the Applications, Desktop folder, Dock or create a keyboard shortcut. Suggestion: press <cmd shift X> keys together after highletening one keyword. Highlights any of the keywords above and select in the following sequence Safarari>Services>mhvSwitch in the menu bar, or create a keyboard shortcut to call the mhvSwitch workflow from the keyboard.

Keywords: (it returns a menu of systems)

Router (it finds the router IP)
Gateways (it finds the myhome gateway, time, and model)
Lights (it finds and control all lights without PUL configuration)
Motors (it finds and control all motors without PUL configuration)
Auxiliaries (it finds the first 8 auxiliaries and can reset their status to 0)
PowerF421 (it checks the consumed or generated power every 60 seconds)
Temperature or Probes (if finds all the installed probes and their temperatures every 60 seconds)

Probes

Probes.applescript is an script to:

discover the installed probes in the house
read the temperature of each probe
set the probe with the lower address the OUTSIDE probe
average the temperature of the INSIDE probes
It announces the temperature difference between OUTSIDE and INSIDE probes

If you have a mac, connected to a my home gateway, check for the installed gateway IP using the Gateways.app . Enter the gateway IP in the probes.applescript scrip, compile it, and run it using the applescript editor to show the dialog below.

mhSpy

mhSpy.app shows the use of applescript to do recursive operations in the computer to control a smart home using only applescript that come with a MacBoook. The file mhSpy.pdf shows a flow diagram of the script. The script discover most of the information for the user, and responds to the user requests. The user remembers the previous commands and paramenters. In addition frequent commands can be saved using the option scenario to repeat the last command using one click on the application icon.

It is advisable to make several copies and rename lights.app to many scenarios, each with its own icon. Every time light.app is run it discovers the gateway and the available devices, making it simpler for the user to keep an updated list of installed devices.

Lights.app enables the user to discover and control all lights in a single windows and in-one-click.

The first time Lights.app is launched it shows the gateway IP, model, and clock for the available gateway, and it presents three buttons: mhVillage to open the help URL, TestIP to select and test the listed gateway IP, and List to display the available devices and their status. The user may enter a different IP address, like the IP of a remote gateway. The Lights.app remembers the gateway IP, and it reuses the same IP address every time the application is used and until "Gateways" is selected.

Motors.app

Motors is a "SUPER SWITCH" created along the principles of myHomeVillage.com: A "virtual switch" without configuration and one click to monitor and control all lights in your home. SAY NO!!! to the nightmare of entering the types and addresses for all your switches .... make it simple for all users and let the smart computer and the smart home do the work for you.

Simple configuration: the application finds your gateways and it asks the user for a selection only when there is more than one gateway. The user should never have to enter a gateway IP, but it offers the option to change it in case the user has a remote home and it uses a VPN to reach it.

Lights shows all light devices without PUL configuration, the devices are sorted by their status (first are the one with OFF status), and by their ID or APL value. There is a menu to limit the list to an ambient or room. Lights,app can be duplicated with different names and configurations, which is convenient to quickly list the status of the lights for one ambient, and location.

Aux Channels

Aux.applescript

Aux channels serve to communicate beween the automation and the burglar alarm systems. The burglar alarm is capable of triggering about 20 automations with events. The burglar alarm central can interpret 15 auxiliary channels. Most installers do not know that they are 6 additional ausiliary channels to use for free, they are recognized by the firmware but most of the software ignores the extra sic channels. I am puzzled why they will have such a discrepancy.

In the direction from the burglar alarm system to the automation system, the AUX channels are comonly used to trigger e-mail in the web server. The web server responds only to changes in the first 9 AUX channels.

In the spirit of maximizing the use and the benefits of an existing MyHome installation, I am disclosing six additional auxiliary channels that are not "OFFICIALLY VALIDATED BY BT" in spite of being compatible with the existing hardware , and not the software.

The six "HIDDEN AUX" are implemented using the BLUE configurators for the number as shown in table below:
